CONFERENCE: Arcs and Orbits: Art, Relationality and Innovation


Griffin Art Projects presents our mini-conference, Arcs and Orbits: Art, Relationality and Innovation, onsite at Griffin Art Projects. The event features discussions the development of conceptual art and abstraction, as well as on artist collections through an artist talk and panel presentations by artist and professor at Université du Québec à Montréal, Julie Trudel and Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Guido Molinari Foundation, Marie-Eve Beaupré; Bill Jeffries, former Director of SFU Galleries and curator of the 2011 Joan Balzar survey, Vancouver Orbital and Wayne Baerwaldt, curator, media producer and former Director of The Power Plant. 

11:00 AM – 11:45 AM — Presentations by Marie-Eve Beaupré and Julie Trudel. Moderated by Griffin’s Adjunct Curator, Dr. Karen Tam.

This event takes place on site at Griffin Art Projects. Julie Trudel and Marie-Eve Beaupré will be joining us via Zoom from Montreal. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Remember, daylight savings time begins on Sunday, so be sure to adjust your clocks accordingly!
