As development threatens Chinatowns across the globe, In Chinatown captures the enduring stories of the people and places of one of Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhoods through the eyes of local residents both young and old. Griffin is inviting audience members to watch all three episodes (links provided), followed by a director’s talk and Q/A session live over zoom with Stephanie Chong and Bryce Quan. Chong and Quan will also reflect on the enormous changes that have swept over Vancouver’s Chinatown as a result of COVID-19 and the devastating impact this transformation has had on Chinese Canadian communities in Vancouver and beyond.
